Blake had his first day of preschool all by himself on Thursday. He had been telling us that he would never go by himself, but he did and amazingly he liked it! He picked out his own outfit, his Jayhawk jersey and only cried in the car not at school. He was happy when we picked him up too. There is one picture of him that is from the orientation day, but you can see his school in the background so I included it. I love the one of Blake and his teacher Miss Patty...he wasn't at all happy about all of this!

Dad is doing pretty good. He has a lot of pain and taking deep breaths is hard for him. He still has his chest tubes in, but hopefully they will come out tomorrow. He has a good appetite, but his pain medication makes him very sleepy. He has begun walking again. Yesterday, just a short walk out of the room and today he took a couple trips around the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)!
We went to the KU football game yesterday. It was Natalie's first and she thought it was pretty cool. She liked to watch the band, but mostly she liked to flirt with all of the people around us! Blake loved it! He was so excited to get inside the stadium. It is a long time for kids to last, but they did really well until late in the fourth quarter when Blake and Natalie got a little restless. I noticed that Natalie was getting another tooth while we were there too! That will be #6. It hasn't come through yet, but it close. We enjoyed having a parking spot and walking on campus. It had been so long since we were up on Jayhawk Blvd. The game was great, the weather was perfect and we had a great time together!
