Blake and Natalie the other day...playing in the yard.
Well, I can't believe it is June! April and May flew by and I didn't make time to do this...sorry. The last couple of days I have been working on our pictures and gotten a ton up to share! I have added them to the links on the side of this page. Take a look and you will see that we were busy!
April was cold and rainy so we spent a lot of time inside. Natalie had her 4 month appointment. She was 1/2 an ounce shy of 15 pounds and in the 90th %ile for height. She began to laugh out loud more often, especially at Blake, blow raspberries, grabbed anything in sight, started trying to suck her thumb while nursing, and rolling to her tummy. Blake gets a huge kick out of making her laugh. We went to California for 10 days the end of April through the 1st part of May. It was great and the kids traveled so well! We had lots of people stop us to say how good they were on the plane, but mostly we were asked how Natalie's bow sticks on! I am not kidding...about 5-10 times a day depending on how much we were out!! Natalie is full of smiles and she got lots of attention everywhere she went because of that. Blake loved Disneyland! He remembered it from last year...he even knew which way to go to get to the Buzz Lightyear ride! We couldn't believe that! He is a daredevil if you can imagine that...he loves roller coasters...riding with his hands up the entire time. He also loved the beach. The water is freezing, but that didn't stop him. Blake received a 2nd degree burn our last night of the trip. He is fine now, but it was awfully scary for all of us! He tells us all the time "I am so sorry this happened" and he does a great job of telling hoe he fell in the fire and that "fire is hot"!
May was even busier. We were not able to go to Emily Kilian's graduation since Blake foot was still wrapped and he was in some pain. We had to be very careful that he wouldn't injure it any further since he didn't favor or protect it. The next week we went to Lauren, Jeff and Abbey's graduation in Medford, OK. It was great to see everyone! Natalie began pushing up when she was on her belly...she doesn't spend enough time like that because she isn't fond of it at all. She started really watching us eat and making chewing motions while we ate so we decided to give her cereal...she is tolerating it...but usually more excited about chewing on the spoon! She also got her 1st tooth on Memorial day!! I really didn't even realize that it was coming through, she was still so happy. We had just gotten back the day before from going to my brother's wedding, again, the kids traveled great! It was a bit harder since TJ wasn't with us. He had a shoot scheduled long before my brother planned the wedding. He tried to move it, but couldn't. We went with Nana & Papa and they were a big help and we had lots of fun on a fast and furious trip! We are so happy for Kevin, Christina and their kids! Blake is a riot... he is always trying to figure out how to have fun or eat sweets. The other day we were at Hallmark where he saw some chocolate he knows Daddy & I like. He decided Daddy needed a piece, but after we bought it he thought it would be better to share it with Daddy! Everyone in the store got a chuckle out of that one.
Well, TJ is on his way home from California and then we are off again to Wichita/Derby for Shelly's 30th birthday party! We are excited to see everyone...Blake is thrilled to see Bradyn and Charlie again! They are definitely his buddies!
First Royals Game for the kids!
